## Description

Colour free Dimetapp Kids Cold & Allergy 6+years, helps relieve symptoms of colds and allergies like; runny nose, itchy watery eyes, sneezing and nasal & sinus congestion.

This particular verison is colour free and is designed for children who maybe sensitive to colour in medication.
## Ingredients

Brompheniramine Maleate 2mg

Phenylephrine Hydrochloride 5mg

Also contains: Sodium benzoate, saccharin sodium, alcohol, sorbitol (16.8g/40mL). Products containing sorbitol may have a laxative effect or cause diarrhoea.
## Directions for Use

**Children 6 years to under 12 years:** 7. 5mL 6 - 8 hours as necessary maximum of 4 doses in 24 hours.

**Adults and Children 12 years and over** 10mL 6 - 8 hours as necessary maximum of 4 doses in 24 hours.  
A measuring cup is included with this product for accurate dose measurement.

Do not use in children under 6 years old. Use in children aged 6 to 11 years only on the advice of a doctor, pharmacist or nurse practitioner. Dose may be taken with water or fruit juice.
## Warnings

Always read the label and follow the directions for use. Keep out of reach of children. If symptoms persist, please contact your healthcare professional.

**Do not use:** In children under 6 years, If tamper evident cap seal is broken, If you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, If you are lactating or breastfeeding, With other antihistamines. Adults stop using this medication after a few days. Do not give this medicine to children from 6 to 12 years of age without medical advice.

**Do not take, If you are taking prescription medication** for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions e.g. monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI)

**Ask your doctor before use if you**: Have glaucoma, Are pregnant, are taking antidepressants  Have chronic cough as occurs with smoking or chronic lung disease, such as - asthma - chronic bronchitis – emphysema, Have a cough with excessive phlegm (mucus), Have thyroid disease or blood pressure, are presently taking or have recently taken blood pressure medications or sympathomimetics, Have difficulty in urination due to enlargement of the prostate gland, Are taking sedatives or tranquillisers, they may increase drowsiness, Are taking another cough and cold medicine.

Brompheniramine may cause drowsiness or sedation in some people. Be cautious about driving a vehicle or operating machinery within 8 hours of taking this medicine. Do not drive a vehicle or operate machinery. Avoid alcohol. This product may cause sleeplessness

Keep out of reach of children. Do not exceed recommended dosage. If an overdose is taken or suspected. stop use and ring the Poisons Information Centre (Australia 13 11 26. New Zealand 0800 764 766) or go to a hospital straight away even if you feel well because of the risk of delayed, serious liver damage.

If symptoms persist for more than 48 hours or are accompanied by fever, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
