## Description

Medela Calma is an innovative feeding solution created for breastfed babies. This feeding device is designed to not interfere with breastfeeding, to let your baby feed the way they learned at the breast.

Calma is intended to be used for feeding breast milk to healthy term babies. Medela does not recommend using Calma with formula.

The Medela Calma is designed exclusively as an option for breastfeeding mums wishing to feed their babies with expressed breast milk. It was developed in cooperation with breastfeeding experts from the Hartmann Human Lactation Research Group at the University of Western Australia. Calma allows your baby to suck, swallow and breathe in a natural way:

*   your baby can drink, pause, and breathe in a natural rhythm, remaining calm and settled
*   your baby needs to create a vacuum to start the milk flow
*   your baby can maintain their natural sucking behaviour

## Directions for Use

## Warnings

Always read the label. Follow the directions for use.

Inspect before each use: pull the transparent silicone part in all directions to make sure it is still intact. Throw the part away at the first sign of damage or weakness.

Plastic bottles and component parts become brittle when frozen and may break when dropped.

Also, bottles and component parts may become damaged if mishandled, e.g., dropped, over tightened, or knocked over.

Take appropriate care in handling bottles and components.

Do not use the breast milk if bottles or components become damaged.

Follow the cleaning instructions.

Do not use Calma while sleeping or overly drowsy.

This is a single-user product. Use by more than one person may present a health risk.

Always use this product with adult supervision.

Never use feeding teats as a soother.

Continuous and prolonged sucking of fluids will cause tooth decay.

Always check the food temperature before feeding (risk of burning).

Keep all components not in use out of reach of children.

 Do not warm milk in a microwave oven as this may cause uneven heating and could scald your baby.
