## Description

Vermox tablets are a worming treatment containing the active ingredient mebendazole and is used for the treatment of intestinal worm infections caused by threadworm.

With very few exceptions, Vermox tablets can be taken by the whole family and features a very simple dosage system. One tablet is all that is required for each family member. Vermox can also be used for whipworm, roundworm, or hookworm.

Only one dose - once. Vermox contains an ingredient called mebendazole which kills threadworms in a single dose by preventing the worm from absorbing glucose, which they need to survive. No body weight measurements or dosage calculations needed.

Before treating for threadworm, evidence of infestation should be present. If a household member has threadworms, then each family member should be treated.

Signs and symptoms of threadworm infestation include:

\- The presence of tiny white threads around the anal region.

\- Itching around the anus and vagina.

\- Restless sleep, grinding of teeth and irritability.
## Ingredients

Each tablet contains 100mg of mebendazole as the active ingredient.

Cellulose - microcrystalline, sodium starch glycollate, talc-purified, starch-maize, saccharin-sodium, cottonseed oil - hydrogenated, magnesium stearate, orange flavour, silica - colloidal anhydrous, sodium lauryl sulphate and sunset yellow SCF (orange yellow S (E110))

Gluten, lactose and preservative free.
## Directions for Use

For children (2-12 years) and adults: One tablet, once, as a single dose. No body weight measurements or dosage calculations are required. Tablets should be crushed before giving to children.

See your doctor or pharmacist before use, if you are pregnant. If you suspect you have roundworm, hookworm or whipworm, these worms rarely occur in Australia or New Zealand, if treating this condition seek medical advice. Unless advise by a doctor do not use in children under the age of 2. If symptoms persist consult a doctor. Contains saccharin. Do not use the contents of the pack if the foil is damaged.
