Collection Notice

This Collection Notice explains how and why Healthylife collects, uses and discloses your personal information when you interact with the Healthylife's services. For more information, visit the Woolworths Group Privacy Policy, and the Healthylife Pharmacy Privacy Policy.

When does Healthylife collect my personal information  

Below are examples of when Healthylife collects your personal information, and the kinds of personal information we collect:

You can change the settings on your browser or device to manage, disable or block the use of some digital technologies by Healthylife and third parties. If you do disable these settings, you may find that you have a different or limited experience when interacting with the Healthylife website.

Why does Healthylife collect my personal information

We use your personal information for various purposes including to:

  • Register and manage your account and process and deliver your orders. Without the necessary information, we may not be able to provide these services to you.  
  • Communicate with you about your purchases or use of our services or for other administrative purposes.
  • Deliver direct marketing and advertising and better understand your needs to identify and promote relevant products, services, personalised offers and other benefits to you via direct marketing. If you have opted in to receive marketing communications, we use your email address and/or phone number to send you emails and/or SMS. We also take your past interactions into account when deciding what advertising to serve you.
  • Deliver surveys, offers, competitions or other relevant programs.
  • Investigate and respond to your enquiries and complaints. 
  • Conduct investigations in cases of safety and security incidents, fraud, retail crime, and loss prevention activities or data security risks
  • Improve our business generally, including by monitoring or recording our interactions with you for training purposes. We may need to collect your personal information when recording your feedback and product reviews or when conducting relevant research to improve our products and services.
  • Performing data analytics and reporting. For example, we measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns and online advertising by using information about whether you saw or interacted with an ad or email we sent.
  • Personalise your experience across Healthylife online and other Woolworths Group brands. For example, when you link your Everyday Rewards Card or we otherwise think we can identify you (e.g. if you use some of the same login or contact information when logging into different Woolworths Group brands) across the various Woolworths Group brands we take your past interactions into account to show you content that we think is more relevant to you.
  • Keep our records accurate and up-to-date.
  • Notify you that you have abandoned your cart.
  • Meet our legal obligations. We collect and use your personal information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, for instance when we are managing product quality or safety issues, selling restricted products and interacting with regulatory bodies and other relevant government entities.

From time to time, we may ask you questions that relate to sensitive information (which is defined in the Privacy Act and is a subset of 'personal information' that includes information about your health), including questions about specific dietary products or health products. We will ask you for your consent to collect this information. We do not share sensitive information other than as permitted by law.

If you add pharmaceutical products to your cart or submit an order from Healthylife pharmacy, we will collect personal information about you for the purpose of processing your order. This may include an eScript code or other information related to your pharmacy purchases.

Depending on how you deal with us, it’s possible we may need to collect other types of personal information necessary to deliver you the benefits of Healthylife, conduct our business or to comply with our legal obligations.

Who does Healthylife share information with

We work with a number of partners and service providers, and we sometimes need to share your personal information with them to bring you Healthylife, its associated services and in the course of doing business. These include:

  • Delivery partners - to fulfil your purchases from Healthylife's online store, to facilitate returns and in the course of doing business. 
  • Medical practitioners and naturopaths - in respect of any telehealth services you book and providing these telehealth services to you. 
  • Telehealth and health journeys: In respect of delivering to you a telehealth service or health journey you subscribe to.
  • Operational, technology and software service providers - including payment providers, marketing and advertising services, IT services, fraud detection, other third parties with whom we partner or who help us maintain our websites and call centre suppliers.
  • Other Woolworths Group brands - who you may interact with (e.g. Everyday Rewards).
  • Healthylife Pharmacy - in respect of any pharmacy products you order from Healthylife Pharmacy, we will provide this information to Healthylife Pharmacy so that they can supply the products you have ordered.
  • Social media companies and third parties where we display advertising - for example, we share certain information with digital platforms like Google and Meta, that allows them to serve you more relevant ads when you’re browsing third party websites and social media.
  • Sale of business - should we ever explore the sale of any part of our business, we may need to share personal information with potential and final acquirers. 
  • Police, other retailers and fraud detection service providers - in relation to an investigation or legal proceedings. 
  • Other entities - where permitted or as required by law. 

For practical and security reasons, we can’t provide an exhaustive list of the organisations and locations to which we share personal information. When sharing your personal information (including overseas), we take steps to ensure that recipients protect this personal information in accordance with Australian legal requirements and that they are only permitted to use personal information for the purpose for which it is shared.  See the Woolworths Group Privacy Policy  for more information about how and when we share personal information. 

What are my rights

If you have an enquiry or complaint about how we collect, use or disclose your personal information, you can contact the Woolworths Group Privacy Centre, send an email to privacy@woolworths.com.au or call our Privacy Office on 1300 908 631 (Monday to Friday 09:00am to 5:00pm AEST, excluding public holidays).

If you would like to opt-out of marketing communications and promotions from Healthylife, you can change your marketing communications settings by logging into your Healthylife online account and visiting My Account - Communication Preferences.

If you receive any marketing communications or promotions from us via email, you can click on the unsubscribe link in the email to opt-out from that particular communication.
