Braun Touchless + Forehead Thermometer BNT4, has an age adjustable fever guidance. It has a colour coded display system and takes temperatures of objects & liquids. It also makes interpreting temperature easier.

A green screen indicates no fever, a yellow screen indicates moderate fever and red indicates high fever. To use this dual function (touch/touchless) thermometer use the AgeSmart button to select the appropriate age setting and take a temperature.

It also comes with different beeps for different temperatures. For example, a series of 10 short beeps is indicative of a moderate to high temperature while a 2 second beep indicates an acceptably low temperature. The Braun BNT4, needs to be placed only 5cm away from the forehead for accurate readings.

For food and bath temperatures, at step 3, select ‘Food & bath temperature mode’ instead of selecting the age range. This can be done by pressing and releasing the food & bath mode button. A beep will be heard, at which point, the food & bath icon will display and the screen backlight will be blue with three dashes, indicating it’s ready.

Position the device up to 6cm away from the bath water or food. Aim directly at the food or liquid, not at the sides of the container holding it. Press the temperature button & the display will show the temperature reading.
