This premium grade Mānuka honey is made from the nectar of the Mānuka bush (Leptospermum scoparium) that blankets the remote hillsides of New Zealand. It has been certified UMF 15+ Mānuka honey.
UMF stands for ‘Unique Mānuka Factor.’ This is a quality assurance trademark that measures the unique type of activity naturally present in Mānuka honey.
Genuine UMF Mānuka honey has three potent and unique compounds Methylglyoxal (MGO), Leptospermum and Dihydroxyacetone (DHA). The UMF rating makes it easy for you to see which honey contains higher concentrations of these powerful bioactives.The greater the UMF Mānuka honey grade, the higher the concentration.
