Elecampane and white horehound are popular expectorant herbs in Western herbal medicine, where they’re traditionally used to relieve mild bronchial coughs.

Elecampane is also traditionally used as a lung tonic and is regarded as having decongestant properties to clear bronchial mucous congestion in Western herbal medicine.

White horehound is traditionally known for its benefits for spasmodic, dry or unproductive coughs in Western herbal medicine.

Balloonflower: used in traditional Chinese medicine for relief of coughs
Balloonflower is a herb that’s often used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) to ease symptoms of the common cold, including cough.

Chinese licorice: traditionally used to ease coughs with excess phlegm
In Chinese medicine, Chinese licorice is often used alongside balloonflower in a traditional formulation known as ‘Jie Geng Tang’; both herbs are traditionally taken to support lung health, with balloonflower dispersing lung Qi (energy) to achieve this.

Chinese licorice is also traditionally used to relieve a dry, unproductive cough and to soothe mild bronchial irritation.

Each vegetable capsule contains herbal extracts dry concentrate: Elecampane (Inula helenium) root 187.5mg, dry equiv. 750mg White horehound (Marrubium vulgare) herb 100mg, dry equiv. 500mg Balloonflower (Platycodon grandiflorus) root 50mg, dry equiv. 500mg Chinese licorice (Glycyrrhiza uralensis) root 50mg, dry equiv. 500mg Pinellia (Pinellia ternata) tuber 35mg, dry equiv. 350mg Aster (Aster tataricus) root and rhizome 60mg, dry equiv. 300mg Stemona (Stemona sessilifolia) root 60mg, dry equiv. 300mg Houttuynia (Houttuynia cordata) herb top 30mg, dry equiv. 300mg Plus Thyme oil 100% (Thyme oil 100%) 10mg Suitable for vegetarians and vegans. No added artificial colours, flavours or preservatives, yeast, gluten, wheat, nuts, dairy or animal products.

Usage Directions:

Recommended dosage: Adult dose: To relieve cough: Take 2 capsules three times a day, or as professionally prescribed. As a lung tonic: Take 2 capsules two times a day, or as professionally prescribed.

How We Handle Them:

Change of Mind

  • If you've had a change of mind about an item you have ordered, we'll need to receive it back to us unopened and unused, in the original packaging.

Faulty Item

  • If the item you have received is faulty, please contact us with a detailed description of the product fault, alongside a photo if possible.

Allergic Reaction

  • In the rare instance you've had an allergic reaction to a product, please discontinue use of the product immediately. We may reach out for further information on the reaction.

Allergy returns must be less than 20% used upon arrival back to us.

Incorrect / Damaged Items

  • If you have received an item that isn't what you ordered, or it arrived damaged, please take a photo and contact us within 7 days of delivery.
