Product Overview
Cosmopor Advance is a self-adhesive wound dressing made of a soft non-woven carrier material. The absorbent pad in the centre has dry barrier technology. This technology lets the wound ooze penetrate the pad without being released (leaking) from it, even when pressure is applied; thereby allowing the postoperative dressing to stay on the wound longer. The wound contact layer of this dressing is made of fine-meshed polyethylene net fabric, this prevents it from sticking to the wound. Furthermore, a transfer layer passes the exudate into the absorption layer and stores it there to prevent rewetting. These dressings are hypoallergenic.
Cosmopor Advance is especially suitable for covering postoperative primary wounds with high volumes of exudates.
