Instructions:

1. Pour equal quantities of color and developer into a bowl. Mix with a brush until you achieve the consistency of a gel within a few minutes. Then, apply the mixed product onto dry hair and leave it to develop for 40 minutes.
2. Rinse and shampoo with Herbatint Normalising Shampoo.
3. Finish with Royal Cream Regenerating Conditioner, leave in for 5 minutes, then rinse out.

Hints and Tips

• When choosing the Herbatint shade that's right for you, always start with your natural colour, which is the colour of your roots. Herbatint Natural shades range from 1N (Black) to 10N (Platinum Blonde), covering all natural hair colours. Some people may have more red or gold tones, which can be achieved using colours from the Copper (R), Ash (C), Mahogany (M), or Gold (D) range.
• If you're uncertain, start with a lighter shade. A strand test is recommended before applying the colour to all your hair.
• Herbatint’s gentle formula allows you to achieve up to 2 tones lighter than your natural colour when applied to virgin hair.

Choosing Your Colour

Herbatint: Inspired by nature, created to enhance natural beauty, and formulated to care for your hair, making it healthy. Follow these 3 easy steps to choose your perfect colour.

Step 1: Determine Your Natural Level
A level measures the degree of lightness or darkness of your hair. Herbatint separates all hair colours into 10 numbered levels, from darkest to lightest. The lower the number, the darker the colour. Always check your natural level at the scalp and hairline. Use the colour chart and the N series to determine your existing level.

Step 2: Determine Your Desired Level
Ask yourself: Would you like your hair to be lighter, darker, or maintain the same level but adjust the tone?

• Due to its gentle formulation, Herbatint respects the structure of your hair, allowing you to achieve a maximum of 2 tones lighter than your natural colour.

Example:

• If you are a Natural level 6 and want to be:
  • The same level, use level 6.
  • One level lighter, use level 7.
  • One level darker, use level 5.

If in doubt, always start with a lighter shade. You can go darker, but lightening after applying the colour is more difficult. If your hair is porous (from previous colouring or perms) or dry (from sun exposure), it will absorb colour more intensely.

Step 3: Determine Your Perfect Colour
Herbatint offers 30 shades, using a system of letters to identify different colour series:

• Natural Tones (N): If you want to keep your natural tone, these shades provide even coverage throughout your hair. The darker levels have more blue, and the lighter levels have more yellow. Ideal for grey coverage.

• Warm Tones (R, D, FF): These shades suit warm and neutral skin tones and add light and warmth to your hair.

  • R = Red tones.
  • D = Golden tones.
  • FF = Flash Fashion tones for vibrant, high-fashion colours.

• Cool Tones (M, C): Suited for people with cool or pink skin tones, formulated with red and blue pigments to intensify your base colour.

  • M = Red-brown tones.
  • C = Ash tones, ideal for neutralising brassiness.

Covering Grey Hair
To achieve optimal grey coverage, mix N series colours with R, D, M, or C shades. The higher your percentage of grey, the more N series you should use.

• Up to 30% grey: 20 ml of N series + 40 ml of target colour (R, D, M, C).
• 30% - 60% grey: 30 ml of N series + 30 ml of target colour.
• 60% - 90% grey: 40 ml of N series + 20 ml of target colour.

Always mix with equal amounts of developer. The ratio is 1:1.

SAFETY DIRECTIONS – ALLERGY TEST – Wash an area of the skin about the size of a 10c piece inside your elbow. Pat dry and apply a few drops of a mixture of HERBATINT® colour and developer. Leave uncovered and undisturbed for 48 hours. Do not use this product if any burning, itching or abnormal reaction occurs in or around the test area.
