Product Overview

Mepilex Border Ag is an antimicrobial, absorbent, self-adherent foam wound dressing that delivers rapid and sustained antimicrobial action to help reduce bioburden in the wound. Its versatile design makes it suitable for medium to heavily exuding chronic and acute wounds, including leg and foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, malignant wounds, partial-thickness burns, traumatic wounds, and surgical wounds.

Mepilex Border Ag can inactivate wound-relevant pathogens (bacteria and fungi) within 3 hours. According to international consensus, antimicrobial action is recommended to reduce bioburden in infected wounds and to act as a barrier in wounds at high risk of infection or re-infection.

The dressing features Safetac Technology—the original less-pain contact layer with silicone adhesion—ensuring less pain during dressing changes.

Benefits of Mepilex Border Ag Foam Dressing:

  • Minimizes pain during dressing changes.
  • Provides rapid and sustained antimicrobial activity.
  • Absorbs and retains a high volume of exudate for effective wound management.
  • All-in-one silver foam dressing.
  • Can remain in place for up to 7 days, depending on wound condition and exudate levels.
  • Maintains a moist wound environment, promoting healing.
  • Suitable for pressure ulcers and other chronic and acute wounds.

Mepilex Border Ag can be used for:

  • Moderate to heavily exuding wounds
  • Infected wounds
  • Leg ulcers
  • Pressure injuries
  • Malignant wounds
  • Surgical incisions
