## Description

Rivacol Chlorhexidine Mouthwash, in a mint flavoured aqueous base, is a disinfectant and antiseptic mouthwash effective against a wide range of vegetative Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms, some viruses and some fungi.

It is ineffective against bacterial spores at room temperature, and acid-fast bacteria are inhibited but not killed. It is more active against Gram-positive than Gram-negative bacteria, and some species of Pseudomonads and Proteus are relatively less susceptible. Chlorhexidine activity may be reduced by blood and other organic matter.
## Ingredients

Chlorhexidine Gluconate 0.2% w/v, Glycerol, Ethanol
## Directions for Use

Rivacol Chlorhexidine Mouthwash 0.2% should be diluted before use.

Adults: dilute 10-15ml with 10-15ml of warm water.

Rinse or gargle for one to two minutes, then expel, up to three times daily, after meals, or as directed by a doctor or dentist.

## Warnings

Known hypersensitivity to chlorhexidine. Severe allergic reactions can occur. Stop use if this occurs.

Not to be swallowed. Keep out of reach of children. If throat or mouth infection persists, seek medical advice. Avoid contact with the eyes. If in eyes rinse well with water.
## Storage

Store below 25oC. Protect from light.
