Telfast contains the active ingredient fexofenadine hydrochloride, part of a group of medicines known as antihistamines. Antihistamines help reduce allergic symptoms by blocking the effects of histamine, a substance your body releases when exposed to allergens. Telfast is a non-sedating antihistamine, meaning it has been shown not to cause drowsiness.
