Triple action Virasolve is a topical treatment for the symptoms of cold sores and fever blisters.
A cold sore usually occurs in the lip and nose region. They are caused by an infection of the virus, Herpes Simplex Type 1.
The first symptoms of cold sores are tingling, itching, or burning sensations and then blister formation occurs. If the blister bursts, the lesion may become infected with bacteria.
Recurrent cold sores are caused by reactivation of the virus by various precipitating factors including sunlight, fever, stress, respiratory tract infections and menstruation.
This cream has a three-way action to help relieve unsightly cold sores as quickly as possible.
The antiviral agent to help fight the herpes simplex virus.
The anaesthetic agent to help ease the pain, itching and general discomfort.
And the antibacterial agent to help prevent bacterial infection.
If applied at the initial 'tingly' stage, the cold sore may not even become visible, and it helps to reduce the healing time.
