Mild to moderate dehydration signs and symptoms:
- Thirst
- Dry mouth
- Headaches
- Dizziness
- Dark urine


Moderate dehydration signs and symptoms:
- Extreme thirst
- Very dry mouth
- Breathing fast
- Fast heart rate and low blood pressure
- Dizziness
- Fever
- Irritation, drowsiness and confusion
- Little or no urine

There are some family members who may be more vulnerable to dehydration and need some extra attention:
infants and children
Due to their smaller size and increased likelihood of vomiting and diarrhoea, it’s useful to be aware of dehydration symptoms.

older adults
Those in their senior years may have swallowing difficulties and lower ability to detect thirst and conserve water.
