### Understanding the anxiety cycle

Gaining an understanding of how anxiety works and our brain and body’s response may be helpful in managing each symptom of mild anxiety. Our brain and body perceive anxiety symptoms as a signal that we are unable to cope in a certain situation. This amplifies the anxiety responses, leading to what is referred to as the vicious cycle of anxiety.
