## Description

Lotus Buttermilk Powder is made from fresh buttermilk that has been concentrated with an evaporator and then dried. Use it in buttermilk recipes like buttermilk pancakes, buttermilk chicken, baking, sauces and waffles.  
  
Buttermilk Powder is a buttermilk substitute and convenient alternative to fresh buttermilk. Lotus Buttermilk Powder is gluten-free, non GMO, a source of protein and suitable for vegetarians.

## Directions for Use

To reconstitute add ½ cup of water to every 1 tablespoon of Lotus Buttermilk Powder then stir to fully incorporate the powder. You can also add it to baking mixes like pancake mix to help with leavening — the acidity reacts with baking powder or soda to give baked goods a higher rise. The slightly tangy flavour of the buttermilk will also be eveident in your baking or cooking.
