This hot/cold pack is meant to be applied externally to a body surface and provide cold or heat therapy. The cold therapy works by contracting blood vessels reducing internal bleeding. In order to activate the hot pack either place Medi-pak flat in the microwave on the lowest setting and heat for 2 minutes or place Medi-pak in a vessel & pour boiling hot water on it. Let it rest in the hot water for 3 – 5 minutes for it to reach the required temperature.
