Why meal planning?

While meal plans that tell you what to eat for every meal and snack of the day can be hard to stick to in the long-term, menu or meal planning can actually make healthy eating more simple to maintain by saving you time and energy.

Meal planning helps add more variety to your diet! Is anyone else sick of eating the same boring recipes again and again??

We tend to cook the same meals on repeat - especially when life gets busy. Avoid decision fatigue and plan ahead!

Planning ahead allows for more variety in the diet, as you spend time thinking about how you can pack all those colourful veggies on your plate, and make it delicious at the same time.

Meal plan like a pro

Meal planning comes with a raft of benefits, and can help you stay on track all week long. We are not talking fancy three-course meals each night (although that would be nice!). We’re talking about setting yourself up for simple, veggie rich meals for the family, all week round.

  1. Time-saving - by planning ahead and organising your main meals for the week, you plan ahead for busy days where you can’t stop for a moment throughout the day. This also avoids ordering unhealthy takeaway or last minute trips to the shops where you will likely choose convenience over health.
  2. Reduce food waste - planning your weekly menu ahead of that grocery shop can help avoid you stocking your trolley aimlessly, and ending up with a bunch of wilted and wasted produce at the end of the week.
  3. Money saving - not only will you save on eating out, you will also save at the supermarket, as you won’t be adding in extra ingredients which are not matched to your planned meals.
