Product Overview

Comvita Medihoney antibacterial wound gel can be used in all stages of wound healing. It can be used on minor burns, cuts, grazes and is made with medical grade honey.

The honey has been specifically formulated to provide a high viscosity gel that is easy to apply. It also washes off easily when you change your dressing.

Medihoney Wound Gel is made of 80% medical grade Mānuka Honey combined with natural wax and oils. The honey contains a unique range of oligosaccharides and prebiotics, amino acids, polyphenolic and other plant-derived compounds

Manuka wound gel has been carefully formulated to take advantage of the beneficial properties of Manuka honey and give you a nature-based option.

This medihoney has 3 main benefits –

1) It cleans the wound of bacteria, dead tissue, dirt and debris by drawing it into the dressing.

2) It protects the wound by helping reduce the risk of bacterial infections

3) It heals the wound by creating a moist environment with low pH that helps with minor wound healing

The Comvita Medihoney range is formulated with clinicians using antibacterial medical grade honey, which has been clinically proven to support skin healing. The Medihoney range is made up of 80% medical grade Manuka Honey - a standardised grade of antibacterial Leptospermum scoparium (Manuka) honey as specified by scientific research.
