What is a Nebuliser?
A nebuliser is a medical device that converts liquid medication into a fine mist (vapour) for inhalation through a mask or mouthpiece. Unlike spacers, which require deep or coordinated breathing, nebulisers deliver medication continuously—allowing you to breathe normally throughout the treatment.
A typical nebuliser session takes approximately 10–20 minutes to deliver a full dose of medication.
Why Use a Nebuliser?
Like spacers, nebulisers allow medication to reach deep into the lungs where it is most effective. However, because they do not require deep inhalation or coordination, nebulisers are often better suited for:
