Product Overview

Strataderm Scar Therapy Gel is a rapidly drying, non-sticky, transparent, silicone gel formulation for the treatment of both old and new scars as well as abnormal scar prevention, in the form of hypertrophic scars and keloids.

This scar therapy gel used to prevent abnormal scarring, soften, and flatten raised scars, reduce redness and discolouration, and reduces itching and discomfort of scars.

When used as directed Strataderm dries to form a silicone gel sheet, a protective layer that is gas permeable and waterproof which hydrates, softens and protects your scar.

Intended use of Strataderm:

  • Strataderm is used for the prevention and treatment of keloids and hypertrophic scars.
  • Strataderm can also be used in conjunction with other invasive scar treatment options to improve overall results, including surgical excision and resuturing, intralesional injections and pressure garments.
  • Strataderm is designed for all skin types.
  • Strataderm is suitable for children and people with sensitive skin.
  • Strataderm is safe to use during pregnancy, whilst breastfeeding and on infants.

How much Strataderm do you need?

Strataderm does not soak into the skin, rather it dries to form a very thin layer that is less than the thickness of a piece of paper or as if you stretch a piece of household clingfilm over your skin. This is why one tube of Strataderm goes a long way and usually lasts for a treatment of 90 days or more.

Strataderm 5g is enough to treat a 2-3cm linear scar for over 90 days.

Strataderm 10g is enough to treat a 5-7 cm linear scar for over 90 days.

Strataderm 20g is enough to treat a 10-14 cm linear scar for over 90 days.

Features:

  • Strataderm is transparent and odorless. It does not contain alcohol, fragrances, or parabens.
  • Strataderm is not absorbed by your skin.
  • Strataderm is suitable for all skin types.
  • Strataderm is non-reactive with no measurable pH.
  • Strataderm is easy to use at home.
